On the 8th of December 2015, was the 150 years the foundation stone was laid
of the Ballarat District Orphan Asylum then renamed Ballarat Orphanage years later known as the Ballarat Children's Home
then finally Child & Family Services Ballarat Inc.
During the 2015 many events were organised by CAFS to Commemorate their past and present.
As part of the 150th year Commemoration Ballarat Health Services on the 23rd of February 2015
held a function to return the collection of paintings to Child & Family Services Ballarat Inc.
On the 27th- 28th and 29th of March Past Residents returned to Ballarat Victoria to attend the 150 years Commemoration reunion.

- First Day a trip to the old Ballarat Orphanage rest-home at Queenscliff Victoria.
- Many past residents and their family visited , Children's grave site, orphanage staff members grave sites at the new and old cemetery. flowers were laid in memory.
- Alexandra Babies Toddlers Home (Female Refuge) was open to allow all past residents to walk through the home.
- Tour of the Ballarat Gold Museum kindly displayed all memorabilia relating to the Ballarat Orphanage.
- Past residents 150 years Commemoration Dinner.
- On the Sunday a church service provider for past residents at the St Pauls Church.
- A Remembrance Service at Arthur Kenny Avenue of Honour at Mt Xavier Ballarat East by the R.S.L Ballarat Branch with a young female bugler for the 105 orphanage soldiers who fought in World War One and wreaths were laid in memory
